ERP013768-A Distinct Cutaneous Microbiota Profile in Autoimmune Bullous Disease Patients
Bullous pemphigoid represents the most common autoimmune blistering disease in Europe. A cohort of 12 well characterized bullous pemphigoid patients and a similar number of controls were sampled. Skin samples were obtained by a non-invasive swabbing technique and were then processed in optimized conditions for microbial DNA extraction and 16S rRNA gene sequencing using the MiSeq Illumina platform (paired-end reads).
